Together, we are celebrating historic moments in a way that awakens shared memories and becomes a long-lasting catalyst for enduring legacy, community wellness, and personal discovery, while honoring each authentic journey.
I led the narrative strategy for the historic sale of the original artwork by Mike Zeck from Secret Wars No. 8 (1984)—the origin story of Spider-Man’s iconic black suit. This single comic page sold for $3.36 million, becoming the most expensive piece of original comic book art ever sold, according to Rolling Stone and WCNC.
I worked closely with comic historians and collectors to build a fact-based narrative that underscored the cultural and creative significance of this page. By aligning the press launch with broader conversations about superhero storytelling, nostalgia, and the cinematic evolution of the multiverse, we made the moment resonate beyond the collector community. The campaign garnered record-breaking national media coverage, ranging from appearances on Inside Edition, Good Morning America, and NBC Evening News.
This is one example of how I help organizations bring historical and cultural meaning to moments through authentic stories, expert collaboration, and timely relevance.
The 1973 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, a bottle that helped California wine famously triumph over France in the 1976 Judgment of Paris, sold for $12,300—more than three times its previous high.
I worked closely with the communications director of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars to ensure a collaborative, on-brand approach that elevated their legacy as part of the story.
By aligning with wine historians and leading cross-functional messaging across PR, social, and advertising, we positioned the auction as a celebration of innovation, cultural pride, and historical impact. Strategic, insight-driven media outreach sparked record-breaking engagement and set a new internal benchmark for story-first brand alignment.
Led the strategy behind the most successful Americana event in the auction house’s 46-year history, surpassing $4.26 million in sales.
Working closely with experts across 41 categories at Heritage Auctions, I often identified historical significance beyond the material to share the most relevant stories that were oftentimes hidden in plain sight.
The Lincoln & His Times Signature event required meaningful alignment with the community and hosting a press preview in Lincoln's hometown of Chicago. The preview featured public interest items in honor of Black History Month. This made the event more resonant for museums, benefactors, and the public.
Despite a winter Omnicron surge and challenging weather, the Chicago press preview became a breakout success, culminating in a live morning show appearance with our category expert and a dramatic armored-car delivery.
The campaign drew over 1,300 attendees, earned 11 national broadcast interviews, and 58 articles across outlets such as PBS, WGN, Yahoo, and the Chicago Tribune, and drove a 137% sales increase over the previous Lincoln & His Times.
The result: a record-breaking $4.26 million event that redefined how Americana can engage and inspire in today’s cultural moment.
Chili has been a conversation starter, a Culinary Declaration of Independence, a social binder, and a movement throughout its history.
